Store Relocation FAQ
Dear NIK NAK Community,
We have some bittersweet news to share.
After 35 wonderful years in our beloved Shop 37, where we’ve created countless memories together, we will soon be relocating from this space and moving to a new home at Shop 40 within the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre (next to Just Cuts on the ground floor). We will be moving just three stores up from our current location, inside the centre.
While the walls may be changing, everything you love about NIK NAK is staying exactly the same with our carefully curated jewellery, thoughtful gifts, and the familiar faces you know and trust.
Our corner store has been more than just a shop. It has been a home, a place of connection, celebration, and shared moments. We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to the street-front space that has been such a defining part of our story. Every visit, every conversation, and every memory created within those walls has meant more to us than words can express. We have built a truly cherished community and would not be where we are today without you.
As we celebrate our 40th year of trade this year, we have found ourselves reflecting on the many moments and memories, both big and small. What began as Antoinette’s dream has grown into something far greater than we could have ever imagined being a space where generations of customers have come to find meaningful gifts, celebrate milestones, and share in life’s special moments.
Antoinette built this store piece by piece, while building her family alongside it. Charlotte, her daughter, who once slept in a bassinet behind the counter as a newborn, now stands beside her as her partner in NIK NAK. Together, they carry forward the same values, care, and love that NIK NAK was founded upon.
We would like to take this moment to sincerely thank every single person who has supported us over the past four decades. Your loyalty, kindness, and encouragement have shaped NIK NAK into what it is today. We feel incredibly grateful and honoured to have built such a special and lasting community. Our purpose has always been to create a welcoming space where you can find meaningful, unique gifts for your loved ones, pieces that say what words sometimes cannot.
We would also like to extend an extra special thank you to Flora, who has truly been the glue holding NIK NAK together as it stands today. Flora is a deeply valued and much-loved part of our store, and many of you will know her well. Her warmth, care, and unwavering support have touched countless customers over the years. She has always been there beside us, ready to help with any question, offer thoughtful advice, and make everyone who walks through our doors feel welcomed. NIK NAK would not be the same without her.
As we step into this next chapter, we feel both nostalgic and excited. Our new space at Shop 40 will be slightly smaller, which means we will be thoughtfully refining our collection and focusing on the pieces you love most, meaningful jewellery and thoughtful gifts, chosen with intention and care.
We are also excited about the opportunities this new space brings, including improved storage that will allow us to continue offering the beautiful and unique pieces that define NIK NAK. We are especially excited to finally have a dedicated storeroom, something we haven’t had in our entire 40 years of NIK NAK.
Our final day of trade in Shop 37 will be after Valentine’s Day in February, and we look forward to welcoming you into our new home at Shop 40 in early March. The exact reopening date will be announced as we get closer.
While the location may change, our heart remains the same. NIK NAK has taken many steps and leaps over the past four decades, and this is simply another one being a continuation of our story, made possible by you.
